Direct-Pressure Clamping and Twin-Screw Drive: Redefining Precision PET Molding

2026-08-31

In the production of PET preforms and thin-wall packaging, shortening cycle times while enhancing product quality has often been a trade-off. Lisong's PET specialized injection molding machine, through the synergistic innovation of its patented direct-pressure clamping and independent twin-screw injection system, delivers a breakthrough solution to this industry challenge.

Direct-Pressure Clamping: Uniform Force Application, Precision Protection

Traditional toggle-type clamping mechanisms, due to accumulated mechanical wear, are prone to uneven clamping force distribution, which compromises molding consistency in multi-cavity molds. Lisong's direct-pressure locking structure employs hydraulic cylinders to directly drive platen movement, eliminating the toggle linkage mechanism and ensuring clamping force is uniformly distributed across the entire mold parting surface. This design not only guarantees stable and precise mold closing but also offers two significant advantages: first, minimal platen deformation, with machine parallelism capable of automatically adjusting to the mold, ensuring consistent quality across every cavity; second, a "zero-oil" maintenance-free operation in the clamping area, fundamentally eliminating the risk of lubricant contamination of products—a feature critical for food-grade and medical-grade production environments.

Independent Twin-Screw: Plasticization and Injection in "Parallel," Breaking the Cycle Bottleneck

PET material is sensitive to thermal history, and plasticization time often becomes the speed bottleneck of the entire machine. Lisong's independent twin-screw injection system completely separates plasticization from injection functions: the plasticization screw is dedicated to material conveying, compression, melting, and venting; the injection screw focuses on melt metering, storage, and high-speed injection. Each screw performs its own role, transforming plasticization and injection from a "series" to a "parallel" process—while the injection screw injects one shot of melt into the mold, the plasticization screw is simultaneously preparing material for the next shot. This structural innovation directly eliminates the waiting time for plasticization completion during the cooling phase inherent in traditional single-screw injection machines. Paired with a servo motor-driven electric accumulator device, it achieves rapid response and precise control of the accumulator process, further shortening the molding cycle.

It is precisely the precision stability of direct-pressure clamping and the efficiency revolution of the twin-screw system that form the technical foundation of Lisong's PET specialized machine—"fast and stable"—making high-cavity, ultra-high-speed, high-quality PET molding a reality.
