Lisong PET Injection Molding Machine Preform System: The Evolution of Electric E

2026-07-08

In the field of PET preform injection molding, the degree of electrification directly determines the machine’s precision, energy efficiency, and cleanliness. Lisong understands this well and has developed a progressive electric control system from 1e to 5e, unlocking more powerful electric control functions step by step, providing a clear upgrade path for high-speed, high-cavity PET preform production.

The “e” stands for electric control. At the 1e level, Lisong achieves electric storage (electric metering). This means the storage action is driven directly by a servo motor, replacing the traditional hydraulic motor. Servo motors offer fast response, precise control, and low energy consumption, laying the foundation for shortening cycle times and reducing power consumption.

Advancing to the 3e level, on top of electric storage, electric mold opening/closing and electric clamping (electric toggle or electric lock) are added. Electric mold opening/closing makes platen movement smoother and position control more precise. Together with the electric clamping system, it enables fast and reliable mold locking. These two electrified functions not only increase mold opening/closing speed but also make low-pressure mold protection extremely sensitive.

At the highest level, 5e achieves the ultimate all-electric configuration: electric storage, electric mold opening/closing, electric clamping, electric injection, and electric screw — five core actions all driven by servo motors. Electric injection provides precise control of the pressure curve during melt filling. The electric screw independently handles plasticization and works in coordination with electric storage, completely breaking free from hydraulic system constraints.

So, what role does each “e” play in preform production?

At 1e, electric storage significantly shortens storage time and consumes far less energy than hydraulic storage, providing direct power for high-speed cycles. At 3e, the addition of electric mold opening/closing and electric clamping makes mold opening and closing both fast and stable. The low-pressure protection sensitivity reaches dozens of times that of conventional machines, effectively protecting precision 144cavity molds, while the electric clamping ensures long-term stability of the locking force. At 5e, the addition of electric injection and electric screw gives millisecondlevel response in injection speed, pressure, and holdpressure switching. Each shot’s preform weight and wall thickness are highly consistent. At the same time, the electric screw’s independent plasticization guarantees low melt temperature, low acetaldehyde (AA) content, and high uniformity.

The four major advantages of all-electric control are fully demonstrated in Lisong’s 5e system. First, high repeatability precision. Servo motors provide closedloop control of position, speed, and pressure, ensuring every shot is identical and significantly improving the yield. Second, significant energy savings. With no hydraulic system energy losses, energy consumption is 40%60% lower than that of conventional hydraulic machines, substantially reducing longterm operating costs. Third, clean and environmentally friendly. It completely eliminates the risk of hydraulic oil leakage, meets the stringent requirements of foodgrade PET preform production environments, and ensures product safety. Fourth, low noise. Electric operation is far quieter than hydraulic pump stations, greatly improving the workshop environment.

From 1e to 5e, Lisong has pushed electric control to the extreme step by step. This is not only a technological evolution but also a comprehensive commitment to preform production efficiency, quality, and cleanliness. In the pursuit of highspeed, highprecision, and highcleanliness PET preform molding, Lisong’s electric e evolution provides a systematic and complete answer.
